You’re Doing it Wrong: Car Transport

Posted in Best of, FAIL / Funny, General by MrAngry | April 29th, 2011 | 6 Responses |

Ladies and gentlemen, I have seen a lot of rolling stupidity in my years of driving around this great nation, but I have never seen anything like this before. What we have hear is a gentlemen from the great state of New York (my home state) transporting a car, a full size car, in the back of a 1500 series Chevrolet pickup truck. The car in question is an early model Ford Taurus that has been strapped down using only one large tie-down strap. Keep in mind that the Taurus weighs in at about 3,500 lbs and that the pickup truck bed is only rated for about 1,000 lbs. What that means is that sooner or later something very bad would have happened if this redneck wasn’t pulled over by police. I’m going to assume that this bonehead lives someplace upstate, as I’d like to think that us city folk have a little more sense than this.

I’ve often joked about being able to drive a Mini or Smart into the bed of an F-250 but this? Takes the cake.

  5. Can you imagine if he was on the freeway and the straps crashed and that thing came flying towards the car behind? That’s a 3,000 lb killing machine.

Oh, yeah, you city folk are SOOO much more enlightened than the rest of us upstaters.

Are YOU the ones with rampant crime, restrictive gun control and who keep electing the same Big Government moron as mayor, over and over again?

Yeah, you city folks sure are smart.
