Would You Daily Drive Your Dream Car?

Daily Driver

The thing about owning your dream car is that after a while it isn’t a dream anymore. I got my dream car about 10 years ago and in that time we’ve covered a lot of ground together. We’ve raced together, been on TV, in magazines, driven across the country (many times) and my dream ride even provided my wife and I with transportation to our wedding. Now with all that being said and the fact that I still own it, I can safely say that I wouldn’t want to drive it everyday. You see even though it is my dream car, the fact that I drive it on certain occasions helps keep it exciting (sounds like I’m a therapist right?). However if I drove it every day I’d probably come to disliking it. First off the fuel cost would kill me. Then there’s the maintenance, and after that I’d always be worrying about where to park it. But hey… that’s just me. What about you guys, would you drive your dream car everyday or park it and use it only on weekends?

I agree with you guys. Nearly everyone with a soul has a dream car but for most car enthusiasts we have multiple dream cars on our minds. Im sure the owner of that amazing Charger would agree. My list is large and jumps from examples like the Ram SRT10 to a classic Demon 340 to my current car the Neon SRT4. That being said the SRT4 is excellent for everyday driving with its 150+mph top speed, blistering acceleration, and wonderful 30mpg highway. A Demon 340 would be more for the shows and sunlit cruising as its gas mileage is not so forgiving and it would be too beautiful to beat on at a daily basis. The Ram SRT10 would be expensive to fix and maintain as a daily driver due to its shared Viper DNA as well as horrific fuel mileage but god would it be fun to win a track run in a pickup. SO whats on your list? :)

Unobtainable without winning the lottery dream car: Lamborghini Adventador. Wouldn’t daily drive it per say, but I would probably drive it nearly everyday for fun.
Obtainable dream car: MBenz C63 AMG, yes.

Of course if I won the lottery, I would have a 10-15 car garage of vehicles that would get beaten on a weekly basis lol

In the summer, my daily is my dream/project car, even if it means an extra ten minutes picking out a parking spot. Right now just using a 4wd SUV because of the freaky weather we have been having as of late.

I also have a ’68 Charger that I am not afraid to drive but it is not a “daily driver”. I don’t take it to the airport when I’m traveling and I am a little picky about where it is parked. And I’m not valeting it at a nice restaurant or hotel. It is mainly a weekend driver and occasional weekly use.
