As a self confessed track-rat I can’t stress enough the importance of utilizing the proper safety equipment. From your helmet and fire suit, to a roll cage and fire suppression system, this equipment can be the difference between you living and dying if something goes wrong. During a recent cup race at Willow Springs Raceway in California, one driver found out just how important having the proper safety gear really was.

    Reason no.1 why the first thing whe did to my friends track day evo 8(after stripping the interior) was fitting a rollcage, bucket seats and racing harnesses.
