As a journalist I try to be pretty open minded when it comes to the car hobby. I mean hell, I dig hot-rods, exotics, low-riders and muscle cars as much as the next guy, however cars that bounce… not so much. What I do find interesting about these automotive oddities though are the mechanics behind the bounce. Between the airbags, dozens of batteries, modified suspension components and frame reinforcement that goes on, it’s safe to say that these hoppers are marvels of backyard engineering. The reasons however as to why they’re actually built though still eludes me. The following video not only showcases one of the coolest hoppers of all time, but proves to all those naysayers out there that cars can in fact, jump rope. Click through for the video.
