Maybe I’ve been wrong about Michael Schumacher all these years. Despite his long history of philanthropy, I always saw Schumacher as a guy who took himself a little too seriously. I suppose winning seven world championships will do that to you, but the latest ad for Mercedes-Benz shows a different side of Schumi. Clearly, he can laugh at himself and the results of the 2010 F1 season. Watch the video below, and then tell me which car you’d get in.
Me? I’d jump in Rosberg’s ride. He may not have the seasoning or maturity of Schumacher, but I truly believe he adapts to new vehicles faster than his teammate. I think Schumacher will have a much improved 2011 F1 season, but so will Rosberg. Neither driver will be in a position to take the driver’s championship (which is Vettel’s to lose, it appears), but I’d be surprised if Mercedes didn’t have at least one podium finish this season.
