Former Top Gear personality “The Stig” err… Ben Collins has suggested that since the world now knows that he was once the masked man in white, that the show should find a new Stig to replace him. His idea? A reality show where a select group of masked individuals compete for the title of “The Greatest Unknown Racecar Driver the World Has Never Seen” – hmm… I should probably trademark that or something. Anyway, Collins may have one hell of an idea on his hands if he could actually get the BBC to commit to it.

“If I were working on the show I’d suggest they do a shoot out – a sort of Who Wants to Be the Stig? X Factor. People could turn up in balaclavas and they could all have a go.”

I’m betting there are loads of people out there would want to be The Stig and who wouldn’t give a rats ass if they were known or not. You’d have contestants from all over the world trying to compete for one of the most coveted spots in TV history and with that would come one hell of a driving competition. I don’t know about you, but I’m totally diggin’ the idea.
