It's true that Ferrucio Lamborghini was fond of bullfighting, but he was also born under Taurus (28 April 1916). This was not only the source of the logo, but was likely also the reason that we know Lamborghini for exotic cars and not just tractors (productivity) and air conditioners/heating systems (comfort). Ferrucio was a reasonable man, but his passions were inflamed by Enzo Ferrari after suggesting improvements to the clutch of the 250 GT. Ferrari implied that a tractor manufacturer was not qualified to criticize Ferraris; this prompted Lamborghini to begin repairing his own clutches (determination), and ultimately build cars that rivaled Ferraris. The Lamborghini Miura was also the pioneer in mid-engine design (creativity), which Ferrari adopted shortly thereafter. Yay Taurus!

Good stuff. I recently wrote an article on the origin in a similar vein though my research suggested that BMW's logo derives from the Bavarian flay (as they're the Bavarian Motor Works) and the propeller thing was adopted later.

Do Volvos build up enough momentum to roll?
