1967 Camaro Z28 CRASH!

This is hard to watch, even if you’re a loyal blue oval guy. Details are a little lacking (like where this race was held, or what series this is), but the video lists the car as a 1967 Camaro Z28 with a 302 motor. The car was built to compete in the SCCA Trans Am series, and until the crash had all of its original sheet metal. Trans Am cars were plenty stout, and I seriously doubt this one is a total loss, but it will be a costly rebuild.

It just goes to show you that grass doesn’t offer much traction, speeds look a lot slower than they really are and tire barriers aren’t all that soft when you hit them at speed.

This is Donnington Park (UK) and probably is a clip of a 60’s FIA-GT vintage race.
