Unveiled back in October at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, the GTbyCITROEN was originally released as a Sony/Citroën partnership vehicle intended solely to promote the upcoming release of PS3’s Gran Turismo Prolouge5. Much to the disappointment of wannabe heel-toers everywhere, Citroën made it abundantly clear that the GTbyCITROEN was never intended for production – ever, “We totally swear!” Of course, after Gran Turismo Prolouge5 enjoyed record sales success during the first month of its release, Citroën apparently had a change of heart and broke the news about two weeks ago that GTbyCITROEN would, in fact, enjoy a limited production run. Aside from rumors suggesting that only 20 units of the GTbyCITROEN would ever roll off the assembly line, further details surrounding the GTbyCITROEN Gran Turismo Prolouge5 concept vehicle have been scarce. This past weekend, however, a video clip from a European TV show cropped up on YouTube filming the GTbyCITROEN live and in action.
We aren’t certain what language they’re speaking, and the English subtitles initially promised were noticeably absent, but the kid with the bad haircut and the Soviet-issue glasses doesn’t look like he’d be contributing much by way of automotive expertise anyway, so there’s really no love lost without a translation.
