There are some folks out there who absolutely loathe vanity plates. Personally though, I totally dig em’ as they give you, for better or worse, a little insight into the personality of those behind the wheel of the car in front of you. As with all things custom, these tidbits of exhibitionism can evoke emotion in those that view them. Some will make you laugh, others will confuse you and yet others still will make you wince back in disgust. For the most part vanity plates are nothing more then folks simply having a little fun within their State’s 7 or 8 letter tags. There are times however when a persons creativity can backfire and thus end up scarring and or embarrassing the driver for quite some time. For example, something that is funny to you may not necessarily appeal to other people. Alas, that is the chance we take for being creative in today’s day and age.
