Subaru Save Chevrolet

Sometimes, regardless of how big or how much power your 4×4 muscle truck makes, the forces of nature will conspire against you and cause embarrassment. Take this 2500 series quad-cab Chevrolet Silverado for example. In standard form this sucker should be able to tow in excess of 10,000 lbs, haul you and your family across the country in comfort and then romp you through the desert if called upon to do so. However, as it happens, this particular Chevy looks to have been halted by a little mud. Mud unfortunately is one of those rare substances that can not only become slick as snot, but it has the ability to disable just about any vehicle out there. Thankfully though for the owner of this particular truck, a buddy with an AWD Subaru was able to lend a helping hand. Now in the real world we all know that the big Chevy would stomp this Subaru into mush, but just this once, we’ll let the Subie fans out there rejoice and celebrate this brand victory.

Any car could have pulled the Silverado out if it’s on tarmac. Kind of a silly “win”.

Those were some seriously snow-balled tires, though. Couldn’t even see one tread. Nasty mud for sure.

I really do hope you’re kidding. Maybe Set is right, any car could get this truck out of the mud, but what about those videos on youtube and streetfire, of 18 wheelers getting pulled out of tight spaces in the snow by STi’s? And I think car-to-car the STi (not subaru, but STi – highest model of Subaru) would stomp trucks whether it be dirt, tarmac, or snow.

Hahaha this reminds me of when I had a Chevy Silverado 2500(extended cab). The truck was huge, but it was only 2wd and it would get stuck often -leaving me to be pulled out by smaller vehicles. But in its defense, we bought it used from a family that only used it as a fifth wheel for towing.

Good thing that Subie had a Tubro; which is apparently some kind of forced induction system that enables this car to pull out a truck from a shallow grade with it’s own 4×4 drivetrain helping propel itself.

Self-aggrandizing video…a highly staged production (once the truck got stuck on its own) by some kids very proud of the sounds their Subaru makes – almost as much revving of the boxer engine (with that fancy Tubro) as actual pulling of the truck…from both camera angles.

I’d hardly say that Silverado was ‘full of bricks’. Like that dozen or so made that much of a difference.

And this video is nothing like the WRX pulling the Semi truck in the snow.

correct if you mean a jacked up 4×4 custom made rockcrawler and in that sort of terrain but if its in a straight line drag race the truck weighs just shy of 3 tons and the car 1,5
the truck has 250-400 bhp tops and the subaru has 265 bhp so that should mean that it would be a close drag race. and as previously stated the subaru will beat the snot out of that truck on all roads no matter ice snow gravel or tarmac aslong as the driver is competent enough to handle it
