I’ll be the first to say that this is a somewhat longish video, but if you’ve ever been to a racetrack before, either as a student or an instructor than you’ve no doubt heard the following commentary by those bench racing in the paddock. As a driving instructor with NASA/PDA I think I’ve heard just about every excuse in the book. From I’m simply too good to be in this run group, to my mechanic messed up the car, or even (and this was my favorite,) there must be something wrong with the track surface. Very few guys will actually admit that they simply don’t know how to drive a car that well and are either to proud, or to stupid to ask for help. Every now and again though I do get that rare student who not only listens to what you tell them, but implements it when their driving. These are the guys that I love because at the end of the day we both, student and instructor, learn a little bit more about the dynamics of driving.
