2003 Toyota Sequoia

In the you-can’t-possibly-make-this-stuff-up department, Toyota is now facing a recall of 2003 model year Sequoia SUVs, for problems related to the stability and traction control systems. Under certain circumstances, the systems may activate unexpectedly, causing deceleration of the vehicle without activating the brake lights. Toyota has received nearly 100 complaints to date, and it isn’t clear how many accidents involving the 2003 Sequoia may be related to this issue.

No information is available on the number of vehicles effected, or when the recall is set to begin. Owners of 2003 model year Sequoias may wish to contact their dealer, or Toyota’s Customer Service hotline at 800-331-4331
