Ridelust Review: 2013 BMW X6 M
It was about a month ago now that we first laid eyes on the new Top Gear America trailer. Personally I kind of liked it, but others, well… their reactions were not too favorable. History Channel has now released a quick sneak peak clip of the show with a few scenes that I have a feeling will be a bit more to America’s liking. Hosts Adam Ferrera, Rutledge Wood and Tanner Foust are in a very tough position, as they are trying to recreate the most popular automotive show in history and make it work for an American audience. What people have to understand is that this takes time. Story lines, plots, viewer feedback and of course the development of our hosts is something that will happen, but first people have to give it a chance. Americans for quite some time have been asking for a good automotive show and in Top Gear America I think they’ll find it as long as they can stifle their opinions long enough for the show to get past one episode.

It looks a lot better than I expected. There was a lot of Top Gear elements in it: camera angles, the ‘look’ of the shots, humor, etc. but its still not the same. I will probably watch it though. (They need Matt Farrah. lol)
MUCH better than what was shown last month. If they keep it up, I’ll watch. My nightmare is it basically becomes a Wipeout vs Ninja Warrior all over again.
Agree Matt would be a perfect fit over Rutledge. First season of TG they got rid of one host to make the show perfect. Guess I need to give Rutledge a shot, but I am a fan of Matt’s Smoking tire site and he knows cars and is not afraid to go fast.
Yeah Ridelust and the Smoking Tire are the only 2 auto blogs I check daily.
JAY LENO !!!!!
he’s the Jeremy Clarkson of USA !!!
