World Fastest Backhoe

At RideLust, we’re all about speed. Frankly, I don’t care what it is, as long as it has some kind of motor and goes fast. I’ve seen a lot of things on a dragstrip, but I’ve got to admit this is my first drag racing backhoe. It’s fast, for a piece of construction equipment, turning the quarter mile in 17 seconds. I’d love to know the speed at the end of the run, or better yet, how long it takes the driver to stop this thing.

How cool would it be to build the world’s fastest bulldozer? Traction off the line certainly wouldn’t be a problem, and you could always dig in the rear claws if your parachute failed. The blade would counter the front end’s tendency to lift on heavy acceleration, so you wouldn’t even need wheelie bars. I think I’m on to something here…
