The 13th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise is set to roll on August 18th, but if you hope to get in on the fun you better start planning now. According to their website the cruise attracts over 1.7 million visitors and about 40,000 cars spread out over 9 towns that line a 16 mile stretch of  Woodward Ave outside of Detroit Michigan. There are events in each city on Thursday and Friday, but the heart of the cruise takes place on Saturday. Even the Big Three Auto Makers get in on the action with sideshows of their own.

It was estimated last year that the economic impact in the area of the one day event was $112.5 million; which is quite an economic bump for a car show. However, the admission to the show is free to the public and parking yourself in a chair along the strip is an easy way to let the action come to you.
