Matt Farah sums up the Cadillac CTS-V perfectly in the first two minutes of this video: it’s an apology for all of the appallingly bad products that Cadillac delivered in the 1990s (Cadillac Catera, anyone?), and it’s not a wagon, but rather a sports car in a wagon costume. With room for five and a Corvette-sourced drivetrain (including a 556 horsepower, 6.2 liter supercharged V-8), it’s best to think of the CTS-V wagon as a car that can haul groceries, haul ass or do both. How fast is it? Is it faster than a tuned C6 Corvette in a drag race? Watch the video below to find out.
The way the speedo and tach light up is pretty trick. I didn’t know that about them. Would love to see that on more vehicles.
Set, a lot of reviewers have panned that as a gimmick, but I thought it was a great idea. On the track, it really helps you acquire the tach needle quicker.
