2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ: RideLust Review
Ten years ago the automotive world was sucker punched by a politically incorrect car movie that set the ground work for one of the biggest movie franchises in history. It was called The Fast and the Furious and even though critics panned it, the timing of the film couldn’t have been better. You see back in 2001 the import craze in the United States was in full swing. Honda’s, Toyota’s, Mitsubishi’s and Mazda’s now took the place of what old school muscle cars were to kids back in the late 1960′s and 1970′s. The cars were cheap, easy to modify and even though they had small displacement engines, these little imports could be turned into giant killers with the right wrench under the hood. Thus far we’ve been treated to four movies in the Fast and the Furious franchise with the newest film, Fast 5 set for release on April 29th.
What’s interesting about the films is that they’ve done a great job of following the latest automotive trends. From the start of the import scene, to drifting, to the constant grudge match that takes place between American muscle and tuners. If you’re a car lover you can be sure the franchise will have a little something in there for just about every type enthusiast. Below is a listing of all the trailers from The Fast and the Furious in 2001, to Fast 5, to everything in between… enjoy.
• The Fast and the Furious: 2001
• 2 Fast 2 Furious: 2003
• The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift: 2006
• Fast & Furious: 2009
• Fast 5: 2011

Awesome! Thank you for that.
IMHO, Tokyo Drift is the best one hands down.
Funny enough, when I first saw the trailer for that, I was just NOT into cars at the time and was too brainwashed by my strictly-straight-driving cousins to think otherwise, or for myself lol. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but when that 350z was going sideways up the circling ramp in the trailer for Tokyo Drift, I told myself it was gay, or stupid, or whatever.
As of today, I can’t even believe I said that. Drifting is a VERY difficult motorsport and art. Not everyone can drift, and even if someone takes the time to learn to do so, it takes even longer for them to look good doing it.
I heard there are Ford GTs in Fast Five :O and a GTR (seems like Fast and Furious is keeping in line with the skyline/GTR theme,
)
I too think Tokyo Drift is the best one. Awesome story line, awesome cars, and no Paul Walker! If it didn’t had The Fast and The Furious in the title (or Vin Diesel at the end), I wouldn’t have guessed it to be one of the franchise.
I agree.
Fun movies, but I have to say the second purely sucked. When they have the new box set you should be able to order it with out FF2.
