As this trailer for Test Drive Unlimited 2 shows, the graphics are crude and the physics appear to be all wrong. Still, as Need For Speed Shift demonstrated last year, it’s better to be good enough in the stores than it is to be flawless and three years late, like Gran Turismo 5. Test Drive Unlimited 2 is slated for a Fall 2010 release, so it will probably beat Gran Turismo to market for this year’s holiday season.
GT5 may have night racing, WRC and NASCAR, but TDU2 has hot tubs, yachts and bikini-clad virtual babes. It’s no substitute for GT5, but it may just hold you over until GT5 is actually released, later this decade.
