Subaru pure performance? Not in this commercial.

You’ve really got to wonder about what manufacturers are thinking about when they advertise their cars. Here we have the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, a car that for the money, is one of the best performing imports on the market. One would thing that because of this Subaru would want to show their prized hot rod doing some performance oriented things. Instead they’ve decided to take a page out of the worst Will Smith movie ever made (Wild, Wild, West) and have their car chased by a giant animated spider through the desert. I mean I get it… they’re trying to demonstrate the fact that the Scoobie is quick, handles well and can tackle all situations. As a consumer though I think I’d rather see it doing some real life maneuvers as opposed to these crappy animated ones. Just my two-cents.

  1. I am literally speechless. That is the most bizarre car commercial I have ever seen in my entire life. The only people this commercial will win over is 13 year old boys into sci-fi movie or grown men who still collect sci fi comic books. Really. Speechless.
