2012 Nissan Rogue SV FWD: RideLust Review
Different car, different dealer. Note absence of charring.
A Gainesville, FL, Nissan dealer is trying to explain to their insurance company how a 2010 Nissan GT-R, secured on their showroom floor, burned to a crisp on Monday night. Foul play isn’t suspected, as a guard had just completed his rounds of the dealership when the fire broke out. The Gainesville fire department suspects the blaze was triggered by a fallen light and not by the car itself, but they are continuing to investigate. Gainesville Fire Rescue spokeswoman Carol Davis overstated the obvious by saying, “It’s unusual for a car to catch fire in a closed building.”
The security guard witnessed the fire and phoned authorities, but did not have keys to access the building. First responders had to break the door glass to gain entry, and were able to contain the blaze before additional cars were damaged, including a second GT-R on the showroom floor.
