Spectacular Mini Cooper Spec Series Crash

Kain Magro, a driver in Austrailia’s Mini Challenge series, may just be the luckiest man in motorsports. During some last-lap dicing, Magro managed to get his Mini upside down towards the end of a straight. With nothing to slow or stop the car, it actually seemed to accelerate on the roof until it hit dirt and began to tumble. The car launched over a catch fence designed to protect spectators, and came to a stop on a crowded hillside. Several spectators had the ass-puckering of a lifetime as Magro’s car sailed overhead; miraculously, only two spectators received minor injuries. Lesson learned? As a spectator, never turn your back to a hot racetrack.

Yeah, cuz it’s like that fence would have stopped a 2000 lbs car that was moving pretty quick…
