If you’re Mercedes-Benz, you don’t sell product by showing images of parked cars and crossovers. Instead, you film your products in action, at high speeds and in high resolution. For those of us on this side of the screen, it all comes out as stunning and seamless video. For the crew involved with making the video, there’s a lot more involved than you may have considered.
After watching the video below, I’d now add “pursuit vehicle driver” to my list of all-time coolest occupations. I couldn’t be the camera guy, or the boom guy, but I could certainly be the guy behind the wheel of the chase car (or the car starring in the commercial). I wonder if there’s enough steady work to make a living at it.
