I need to get myself a Shelby so I can go drive to TX and see how it’s done for real. This sounds like a kick ass time, and hey, can you really have a good time with out a real STD Barbies floating around? lol.

You know Jim, that seriously is one of the biggest tragedies about awesome cars like the Shelby Mustang – it seems like the only people who can afford them are douchebags. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve seen one roll up to a stoplight and who is behind the wheel? Some trust fund kid, with STD Barbie in the passenger’s seat.

While it sounds very cool , I e-mailed one of the contacts {Samantha } to see about the chili cook off and car shows , spectator events , etc. and was not made to feel very welcome . In fact I was given the impression Mr. Shelby has little to do with this . Sounded like a bunch of rich kids out to make some quick $ and to hell with the folks who can’t afford the $2500 to stay or play . My friends and I may still take a drive up there but I’ve lost a lot of interest in it . Been to Lajitas and Terlingua and love the area and the people who live there , the promoters of this “bullrun ” clearly don’t live there or have spent much time there. They come off as a bunch of slick big city boyss and girls with too much money . It made me wonder how much Mr. Shelby had to do with the organization of it!
