2009 Ford F-150 Heavy Duty DEWALT Contractor

Last week, Ford released sketches of the four 2009 Ford F-150 concept rigs they intended to haul with them to SEMA 2008 this week and admittedly, it was pretty underwhelming. As is often the case, however, the artists’ renderings were poor representations of the actual truck themselves, and the real deal has turned out to be very impressive. The plug-in hybrid Hi-Pa Drive F-150, for example, was frankly boring in pen and ink, but once you’ve seen the full scale model and processed the incredible idea that not only could this behemoth literally crush the puny Prius, but it could also crush it in terms of fuel-efficiency averages, you gain a considerable amount of respect for it.

Unfortunately, we do still maintain one slight point of contention with the Fahrenheit F-150 by Xtreme Toys – the paint job is lame. If you’re going to take the time to create a monster machine with more power than some small countries, the least you could do is spring for a decent detailer.
