Saudi Arabia Crash Compilation: No Brains, No Problem!

Posted in Crashes, FAIL, Videos by MrAngry | October 17th, 2010 | 4 Responses |

Seriously, are there no police in Saudi Arabia? Every time I view one of these videos I’m truly amazed that more people don’t get killed. I’d like to say that there is some skill and car control involved here, but the fact of the matter is that these boneheads just hit the gas and turn from left to right, nothing more. Then there is the question of the passengers who are obviously not strapped into the car, we know this because they generally get flung out of the windows when the driver inevitably buries the car into the crowd of onlookers. Some of these crashes are pretty mild, yet others are completely off the wall. To make these cars slide in the manner in which they are doing so means that the driver is going in excess of 70 mph, a speed that makes recovery almost impossible when the car gets out of shape. Hmm… I wonder what the mortality rate is amongst those who wipe these things out.

I don’t get it. Saudia Arabia is a VERY repressive place. Minor infractions usually net huge punishment. Are these guys risking death sentences for this? And even if they aren’t, this is insane. Too insane even for me. Are they royalty, maybe? Above the law by blood?

How quick are we to dismiss the talent behind this form of driving! all they do is hit the gas and turn left and right ? sorry, but isnt that done in all motorsports ?? and also, heavy use of the handbrake in involved too, so its probably not as easy you might have suggested.
and i bet majority of the worlds drivers would be shitting bricks at 200kmph (120 mph), let alone jack the steering left straight towards the wall and control it!
and the onlookers…. yes they’re risking their lives, but having been involved in rally racing myself, i can vouch for how they feel being so close to the action.
and yes many drivers are killed in action, but so are the drivers behind F1 cars or any other motor sport.

by no means am I advocating this sport on public roads, infact i think special arenas should be built for these drivers where they can groom their talent more safely.

    that is all :)

HAHAHA Great video, thanks goes out to those guys over there so I can laugh my ass off at their expense for a couple of minutes. At least it’s not me or my stuff.

Actually, let me take that last statement back. It makes it sound like I condone bad behavior, which breeds more and other bad behavior which seems to spread like a virus. But I was thinking that, I just probably shouldn’t say it.
