Red Bull Renault’s Mark Webber has grabbed the pole position for tomorrow’s Spanish Grand Prix, with teammate Sebastian Vettel alongside him in position two. Rounding out the top five are Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Mercedes), Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and Jenson Button (McLaren Mercedes). Button heads into the weekend with the F1 points lead in driver standings, but getting by the Red Bull Renault cars this weekend will prove challenging. Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel is just 15 points behind Button in the standings.

Michael Schumacher clearly found the new Mercedes chassis to his liking, qualifying sixth on the grid. He out-qualified his teammate, Nico Rosberg, for the first time this season. Rosberg starts from position 8, with Robert Kubica (Renault) sandwiched between the Mercedes drivers.
