Porsche GT2 RS

It goes 204 mph, has 620 hp and is the most powerful Porsche ever built. It’s the Porsche GT2 RS and it is a true wonderment of modern engineering and technology. Recently Porsche set up a performance driving event in El Toro, CA, at which the first 20 customers of this iconic machine would take delivery of their new toys. Andreas Preuninger, Porsche’s manager of high performance cars was on hand and explains to us not only how the GT2 RS came about, but about how the GT2 RS was a passion, not a sales driven project. The car was originally known as “Project 727″ due to the fact that this was Porsche’s Nurburgring lap time goal. With the development help of famed race car driver Walter Röhrl, Porsche not only created their most powerful car ever, but the new standard for which all other Porsche road cars will be held to.
