Truth be told I’ve never really been a great fan of Porsche’s Cayenne SUV. In my opinion it’s to expensive, to small and way too ugly. There is however no denying the extreme levels of performance that this thing is capable of dishing out. Autoblog recently posted up this video via Autocar of Porsche’s 911 Carrera 4S going head to head with the Cayenne Turbo. The 911 is a flat out no-holds-barred sports car, while the other is a burly SUV capable of heading off-road and taking the entire family to brunch on Sunday. Both are four wheel drive and both have an impeccable pedigree. The question here is do you really need to by the 911 Carrera 4S to get full-on performance or can you have similar fun with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The answer may surprise you.
