The Pickens Plan for energy independence which has been causing an enormous stir on the Internet calls for a transition towards natural gas powered cars in the United States.

Because natural gas is very plentiful in the US Pickens believes that we could cut oil demand by 30% within 10 years and reverse the trend of sending money to foreign countries.

Pickens likens this to a war. And he’s probably right. Big business don’t change easy.
