I’d like to preface this by saying that Bacon, that wonderfully delicious salty piece of Porky Pig is natures perfect food – it always has been and it always will be. Next up I’d like to tell the people of PETA that they are completely overstepping their bounds by trying to incorporate their lifestyle onto those of others. You see the city of Boston has plans to install 3 electric charging stations for electric vehicles such as the upcoming Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt in an effort to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the city. Personally I find that committing to only 3 charging stations is an unbelievably weak effort on Boston’s part, but that’s another issue entirely. What’s more annoying is that PETA is now trying to get people to head towards a vegan lifestyle by trying to tie their agenda in with that of the electric car movement, as they want to post advertisements on these proposed charging stations.
According to a blurb on Boston.com, PETA representative Tracy Rieman stated that what Boston is doing:
“is a commendable effort, but we hope people will take going green a step further by going vegan.”
Hey PETA – good luck with that, but somehow I think you’ve got your work cut out for you.
