I’m not actually sure why I was surprised by a bunch of combines having it out in a dirt filled arena, but after watching it for a moment, it just started to feel right. You see combines as a whole live a lonely existence. They go out into the fields day in and day out like giant sumo wrestlers and yet, they never really get to showcase their true talents. Thankfully though there’s the Monona County Fair in Onawa, Iowa, an event that lets these massive brutes have it out in one final fight to the death. Granted they’re not the fastest movers out there, but what they’re lacking in speed they make up for in sheer girth. Now while it’s doubtful that this will be replacing NASCAR anytime soon, I somehow find it comforting that sports like this exist. Click through for the carnage.
