GMC Syclone

Back in the early ’90s GMC came out with two devilishly quick trucks. The first was the Typhoon and the second was the Syclone. The Syclone was basically a Chevy S10 pickup with a hopped up version of the turbocharged V6 engine that lived in the Buick Grand National and GNX. With a 0-60 time of just 4.5 seconds, the truck was super-car quick, well, at least in a straight line anyway. Click through and check it out.

The article is wrong! The 1991 GMC Syclone was first for one year only, 1991. The Typhoon came the year after in 1992 and 1993. Never made again. One story goes that the two vehicles used the Buic Grand National motor…?
