2012 Nissan Rogue SV FWD: RideLust Review

Nissan 370Z
Nissan has been promising their own hybrid for some time while offering a hybrid version of the Altima in the short-term that utilizes Toyota propulsion and technology. Now there is buzz circulating that one of the first vehicles in the Nissan lineup to receive the in-house hybrid treatment will be the 370Z.

Hybrid Infiniti
Initially Nissan hybrid technology will first go into the 2010 Infiniti M45, but reports are that Nissan hopes to unveil a hybrid Z soon after and if they have anything to say about it, in advance of Honda and their CR-Z hybrid sports car.

Nissan 3.7 Liter Engine
Presumably, the 370Z hybrid would use the same 3.7-liter V-6 as the standard version, but would get additional power from an electric motor, making it more of a performance enhancement than gas saver. Also adding to the allure of a possible juiced-up sports car from Nissan would be plug-in capability which is also being considered. Both the M45 and Z are just a taste of several future all-electric vehicles being developed by Nissan for which similar battery technology will be employed.
