You will never see a commercial for any GM vehicle starring men with kitten heads battling with swords and martial arts. And maybe that’s why they’re in the situation they’re in. Who knows.

Either way, in Toyota’s new Australian Corolla ad, called The Heist, a kitten headed hero does battle it out with a gang of kitten headed bad guy ninjas over some delicious fish, then he gets away in a badass new Toyota Corolla hatchback. The ad campaign includes more than just the commercial though, there is a really cool animated graphic novel called The Getaway at their website, Corolla.com.au. In it, kittenhead hero Max and his sidekick Misty get into crazy adventures: 9 Lives and Counting, Landing on all Fours, and The Sound and the Furry. It’s some cool stuff, with info about the car included and tons of downloadable media. Check it out + specs and pictures of the car:

Director Garth Davis said, “This idea, this film, unapologetically celebrates that rich and wonderful world of the imagination… It’s not everyday you make a little film about kitten headed people. I love the innocence of kittens, in a playfully seedy world, and how we explored a new fighting style; a hybrid of kung fu and kitten. For me, this film ultimately reflects the easy going fun and adrenalin of Corolla… I love it, and am very excited about tickling people’s minds.”

The latest Toyota Corolla was given the charge of taking on Volkswagen and to help its cause it was given a new European look. This look was further refined in 2004, not that it wasn’t dependable. The facelift was done to make it an exciting car and give it a badge appeal. The best Toyota Corolla diesel engine is the T Sport Compressor which has 215bhp to 190bhp. This makes the Corolla a smooth performer along with good handling and a brilliant exhaust note. Usually the most common engines are the economical 1.4 and 1.6 litre petrol engines. Toyota Corolla has safe and predictable handling with precise steering and quite an efficient gearchange.^
