2012 Nissan Rogue SV FWD: RideLust Review
See, it’s a car like this that makes you hate your life (and by “you” I mean “me”, and by “your life” I mean “my car”). Dropping a month ahead of its scheduled debut at the Detroit auto show in January, the Audi R8 V10 has bared it all for the camera in a series of mouth watering photographs (can you believe the size of those twin oval tailpipes? Oy). The fastest production R8 released to date, the new R8 V10 borrows the powertrain found on its track-bred cousin, the R8 LMS GT3 racer, and is outfitted with a 5.2L V10 engine capable of producing 528-horsepower. Maxing out at 196 mph, the R8 V10 is also supposed to launch from 0-62 mph in less time than it takes to be overcome with ride lust(3.9 seconds, to be precise). Those specs sound familiar? They should, the R8′s V10 is the same engine found underneath the hood of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. To feed the R8 V10′s voracious appetite, the Audi’s voluptuous (yet still surprisingly aggressive) figure also received several subtle exterior upgrades, most notable among them the larger, more pronounced air-intakes cut into either side of the body.
Interested in adding a little of the R8′s 10-banger action to your garage? Got $180 grand? Me neither, so we’ll just have to settle for salivating over the pics below (or, if that doesn’t work, you can always take comfort in the knowledge that any guy who actually can afford to buy one is probably hung like Verne Troyer).
