Move over Bugatti Veyron, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is looking to pass
Once you have a record you are most certain to have some challengers looking to detrone you. That is precisely the case as the Bugatti Veyron’s record of 253-mph is looking to be broken by the SSC Ultimate Aero TT. The Ultimate Aero has been testing its components and running test runs, and so far the greatest obstacle to making a record breaking run is finding a suitable location.
In the test runs that have been performed the 1183-hp Ultimate Aero has reached 241-mph. Ofcourse SSC (Shelby SuperCars) is quick to note that their best test so far was only utilizing 71% of the throttle. There must be a certain amount of drool building up as they can almost taste that record run.
The next step for SSC will be to arrange the legalities for their record making run at their chosen location. After a lengthy search SSC has received permission in their own state of Washington to make their drive for greatness on one of their freeways. In order to make that happen they will have to apply for the proper road closure forms, hire police security and get the required insurance (while chewing gum and jumping rope on one leg i bet).
While some people are looking for the means to go faster further without fossil fuels other car builders are gulping down the octane to acheive their World Record. Then again it is really cool and should be quite an achievement.

72% throttle probably had the tyres spinning, which explains why they got such a high theoretical top speed- they don’t have enough downforce to use the power.

It gets 18 mph city / 27 mpg highway. That’s an average of 22.5 mpg. Not bad for a hypercar that can go 240+ mph. It also beat all Ferrari’s slalom records, including the Enzo, which is pretty amazing. You can probably get this Ultimate Aero, a Maybach, an Ariel Atom, and a Jeep Trailhawk for the price of a Veyron.

Sorry even if it beats the bugatti by 10mph i will still be die hard bugatti lover it looks soooooooooooooooooo much better than this car by far its just way sexier. Bugatti has a completely origanal super car look to it there are to many cars on the market that have the same body style as the ssc it just doesn’t WOOOOW me liek the bugatti but instead just a wow!
