Motorized License Plate Holder For Camaro From SwiftMotorSports
I’ve always been a fan of Bond gadgets, especially the revolving rear license plate holder. I fantasize about some sweet adolescent run-in with the cops, escaping around the next corner, flipping a switch, and suddenly I’m nothing more than “circumstantial evidence” minding my own business while some other hooligan is on the loose.
Well, that’s not exactly what we’ve got here, but it’s close. For those of you in states which require a license plate on your front bumper, there’s now a way to avoid drilling unsightly holes into your flippin’ sweet ride. Swiftmotorsports has released a video showcasing their new motorized plate holder on a custom Camaro. The device can be activated via key fob, or if you’re cheap, you can get a manual version. The product allows you to be legal when you have to, and illegal when you want. It’s possible you could keep it hidden away, until you’re pulled over, in which case you simply activate the device and, “Voila!” you’re not the featured redneck on the next COPS episode.
There’s no doubt it’s not the most aesthetically pleasing, but gadget geeks shouldn’t mind. And as far as durability is concerned, I’d stay away from any speed bumps or steep driveways.
