2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe

According to the ratings done by Consumer Reports in their June issue; the 2009 Infiniti G37 has conquered competitors from Acura, Audi and Volkswagen for the best overall rating in the upscale sport sedan category.

Potent 328 HP V6 Engine

The G37 received an “Excellent” overall test score, while the Acura TSX, Audi A4 and Volkswagen CC reported a road test score of “Very Good.” In their overall assessment, the G37 and TSX are the only vehicles that have performed at a level to receive a coveted recommendation by Consumer Reports. The pricing on the vehicles tested range from $29,675 for the TSX to $37,525 for the A4.

Specific praise of the G37 is focused on the which delivers “very strong performance while getting better fuel economy than the previous generation.”  This is the byproduct of the  3.7-liter engine that produces 328 horsepower while still averaging 21 mpg overall with the seven-speed automatic.  Other bright spots in the Consumer Reports evaluation that helped earn the G37 the top spot are the car’s excellent braking and spacious cabin.
