It’s one of the greatest car movies of all time, starring one of the most troubled celebrities to ever leave their mark on Hollywood. Before Mel Gibson went all bat-shit-crazy on us he was one of the most powerful people in tinsel town. Movies like Braveheart, The Patriot and the Lethal Weapon series cemented him as an icon. However his first real movie, MAD MAX, was the one that not only introduced us to Mel, but that beautiful black car known as The Last Interceptor. In a very candid interview Gibson sat down in front of an audience at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood to recap his thoughts and memories about the apocalyptic film that put him on the map. The video is long (44 minutes) but if you’ve got the time it’s totally worth watching.
