So it’s finally happened. The film franchise that made crazy Mel Gibson a house hold name is finally coming back to the screen with a new cast and a fourth installment after a 25 year absence. Mad Max 4: Fury Road is apparently filming with the new lead of Max Rockantansky being played by Tom Hardy. Now, I am sure that Tom will do a great job as Mad Max, but at the end of the day we really want to see the cars. The V8 Interceptor from the first two installments is cemented in cinematic history as the most bad ass vehicle to ever roll through a post apocalyptic landscape, but unfortunately it was blown to pieces mid-way through The Road Warrior.
All we know is what we can surmise from these pictures, and while not the greatest, they do give us some insight into what we can expect. It’s obvious that we’ll all still be cruising through the Australian desert in a bunch of cars and trucks made from duct tape and zip-ties, but I’m cool with that.
Car wise it seems we’ve got an old Cadillac with some crazy cow-killer bumper on the front, some sort of track-vehicle and a jacked up off-road tractor like thing. All these rides combined should make for one fun-filled mindless automotive thrill-romp that we’re all really looking forward too.
