Love the Beast: The Greatest Car Movie You’ve Never Seen…

There are a select few of us out there that have been able to develop a real relationship with our cars. We look at them as members of our families and pieces of our history as they’ve helped shape who we are and what we’ve become in life. For me it’s my 1968 Dodge Charger, a car that so radically changed my life that it’s hard to comprehend. As strange as it may seem this automobile means more to me than most people do, and for that reason I will never ever sell it. In Love the Beast, actor Eric Bana tells us about the 25 year relationship that he’s had with his Australian built Ford Falcon XB Coupe. It was a car that he purchased when he was 15 years old and one that has helped shape his life. If you’ve never seen this movie I HIGHLY recommend it as it is, in my opinion one of the greatest car movies ever made.

I have to check it out. I’m in love with my Jeep about as much as he is with that Ford. I also love the soundtrack for that clip. Band of Horses, Arcade Fire. Amazing stuff.

I get what you’re saying, but i guess what Jay really meant was that when YOU build a car you feel part of it, theres a deep connection between car and man. That’s a feel you don’t get when you pay other blokes to build it for you, even though it’s still your car. About the movie it’s simply brilliant, watched it twice and love the passion Eric talks about his Beast.
