2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ: RideLust Review
Everyone knows that Lotus makes some of the best handling and most well balanced cars on the planet. They’re light, agile and in the right environment in the hands of the right drivers are downright evil on a racetrack. For example, the Lotus Elise and Exige models are the equivalent of a 250cc two-stroke race bike and the Evora is essential the same with a bit more civility added in. Lotus is now getting set for the official unveiling of the new Elite, a car that Lotus says will redefine the concept of the “modern classic”. More of a GT car than a full on track weapon, the new Elite will be bigger than the Evora as well as more comfortable with enhanced seating capacity for 4 people.

Power wise the Elite will get the 5.0-liter V8 from the Lexus IS-F which will be tuned to pump out over 600 hp. According to Lotus this means a top speed of almost 200 mph with 0-60 times being in the sub 4-second range. The Elite should also score some serious points with enthusiasts thanks to its retractable hard top as well. The Elite is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show on September 30th so stay tuned for more in the upcoming weeks.
