Our top secret South Korean correspondent is reporting that Kia may actually produce the Soul’ster concept, leading us to consider whether the already genre-bending box can do double duty as a coupe-convertible too.

We say, why not? It’s an interesting concept on a versatile platform, and there must be a gaggle of sorority girls who will scream “eeek” and force their parents to buy one, or they’ll “like, be totally upset.” Plus it would open another avenue for dealer-installed accessories, always a cash cow for an automaker. Will Scion field a competitor? Interesting stuff, at least, for news about Kia.
