This is a great time to enter The American Le Mans Series. Even small tracks like Limerock Park draw 100,000+ spectators, TV viewership each race is in the millions. As far as a technological standpoint, now is the best time to enter, the companies who are cutting back their racing programs lose the real world feedback and developement they receive from their race teams are going to come out of this funk behind companies like Acura, Mazda, Audi, Peugot, JAGAUR, etc... who push further into American Le Mans Series participation which almost requires teams to constantly innovate to stay ahead unlike series such as NASCAR which requires teams to use aniquated, heavily regulated cars that do not provide any relevance to the showroom other than advertising.
