When it comes to owning cars, I’ll admit that I have the attention span of a hyperactive five year old who just slammed three Red Bulls. To put it bluntly, no car has ever amused me for more than five years at a time. My needs and expectations for a car constantly change, and I’ve previously had the kind of job where changing rides every three years or so isn’t a problem. As an automotive writer I get to drive a lot of cars, but the problem is I can’t afford to buy any of them. With that in mind, I really can’t put myself in this guy’s shoes. He’s looking for a replacement for his beloved BMW 1602, since the car has seen better days and doesn’t have air conditioning. It’s clear that the car means more to him than his sniping girlfriend (and it’s not hard to figure out why), but sometimes we have to move on. Can he find happiness on a used car lot? Is there a new ride in his future? Will he kick his significant other to the curb, or take her for a one-way ride into the desert? Watch the award winning video below, made by BMW Classic, to find out.
