Is this the Greek version of Bullit?

As you know I am a huge fan of the Hollywood car chase. I’ve posted list, after list, after list of them in the hopes of educating you guys on some of the best vehicular hoonage ever to be caught on film. This little diddy however somehow slipped under my radar and that’s a tragedy because it simply kicks ass! Filmed in 1971 “The Burglars” was filmed in Greece and features a Fiat 124 and an Opel Rekord. Combined these babies put out all the horsepower of a stiff fart, but that doesn’t mean that this chase still isn’t a hoot to watch. Watching these little suckers do battle is like watching two flies fight over a turd. You don’t want to watch, but in the end it’s still totally entertaining. Not only are these guys going for broke with loads of tire screeching, fender banging action, but it’s also all filmed in real time with no special effects. I don’t know about you, but I’m totally diggin’ it.
