2012 Nissan Rogue SV FWD: RideLust Review
One reason I don’t own a Bugatti Veyron is that 1,001 horsepower just isn’t enough for me. A zero to sixty time of 2.5 seconds seems positively glacial, especially when the Hennessey Venom GT will beat it for half the price. If only the Veyron put out about 200 more horsepower, and if only it was 3/10 of a second quicker to sixty, then I’d have to make room for one in my garage.
It looks like my wish may be coming true, at least if Left Lane News is correct. It’s no secret that Bugatti wants to retire the Veyron design, and Bugatti has traditionally phased models out with gusto. Enter the Bugatti Veyron Supersport, rumored to be a 1,200 horsepower, quad turbo beast that will kick off zero to sixty runs in 2.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 264 miles per hour. Only 30 will be built, and while pricing hasn’t been set you can expect it to cost more than the $1.3 million price of a “base model” Veyron.
If 1.5 million of my friends will each loan me a dollar, and if Bugatti actually builds the Veyron Supersport, l should have one parked in my garage by Christmas 2011.
