The Ford Bronco’s built between 1966-1977 are some of the most desirable off-roaders out there. They’ve got a short squat wheelbase that makes them ideal for when the terrain gets rough, and when equipped with the proper under hood mill they’ll go just about anywhere. Icon 4×4 is known for taking classic rides and re-engineering them with the latest and greatest in technology and this new Bronco is no exception. It sports an Art Morrison chassis, the 5.0-liter engine out of a new Mustang GT, as well as custom Dana 60 and 44 axles. In short, this sucker is awesome. Maybe I’m too jaded a Jeep fan, but do not want. The exterior and interior are way too gaudy. A Bronco should be a rough’n’ready off-road truck that has all the practicality of a hammer. This just looks wrong to me. I’d rather they had just restored the vehicle and put some bad-ass suspension, driveline, engine, and tires. That, to me, it the Iconic Bronco.
And lastly, I have to complain about his statement: Americans have more connection with a Bronco than a Jeep? Seriously? That statement couldn’t be more wrong if it tried.
