I wish I had more time with….

… my 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8. This is a car I purchased back in 2009 with a mere 21,000 miles on the clock and then subsequently sold in August of 2012. To this day it was the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and never once did it give me a hint of trouble. As a long distance road trip machine it was outstanding. The big 425 hp 6.1L HEMI meant sustained 90 mph cruising speeds were effortless and thanks to some of the best seats in the business, fatigue was never an issue. This is one of those rare cars that Chrysler got right. It wasn’t overly done, but included enough luxury and style to make one feel special with enough room to haul just about anything they wished. Sadly, I sold the Maggie last year as it no longer met my needs. It sold in just 11 hours and went to a wonderful couple from Oregon. In it’s place sits a new Mustang GT, a car that was purchased to simply be a track rat and nothing more. It doesn’t have the personality, style or overall appeal of the Magnum SRT8, but it does its job fairly well. Maybe one day I’ll come upon another lightly used Maggie, but until then, I wish I had more time enjoying one of best modern day sport wagons to ever grace the tarmac.

you got lucky never having a problem with ya magnum..every one of theres 6.1 hemi that i have seen had a problem with dropping valve seals..man did that make a mess chewed up the top of the piston and ate the cylinder wall..what a p.o.s motor

    • pssstgotboost?,you must have some really bad luck with hemi’s. Im part of a 200+ member car club dedicated to the LX platform and this has not been an issue with our members rides. Quite the opposite. We’ve found the Hemi 5.7, 6.1 & new 6.4 to all be hearty power plants that love to be run hard and often. And these are in Texas conditions.

I wish I had a little more time with my 86 BMW M635csi I bought it to flip for a profit, so I had it for less than a year, but those were some memorable miles.
